MY INTERIOR STYLING philosophy

My mission is to guide you on creating spaces and a home that reflects you, how you live and what you love. To help you develop your personal interior style and give you the knowledge and tools to do this... and have loads of fun in the process!

Home is feeling comfortable to be yourself, display what is meaningful to you, a space to create memories, celebrate moments in life, spend time with the people who are important to you in a way that expresses your creativity, in a space you’ve worked hard for and are proud of.

Your interior style is a reflection of you, what you love and how you live”

styling for interiors

I’ve developed these 14 prompts for styling your home.

When I’m styling my own home, working with clients for any interior space I create, I keep these in mind. Style has no limitations and is available for everyone.

  • Style is not restricted to your budget. Anyone can have a beautiful home.

  • Express Yourself. Your home should reflect how you live, what you love and who you are.

  • Give yourself permission to be original. Find inspiration but don’t copy. Create your own interpretation and make it your own.

  • Experiment with styling and expressing your style because creativity improves with practice.

  • Curate and edit. Less is more. The art of arrangement – vignettes.

  • Style sustainability. Be aware of what you are consuming and the impact it has on the environment. How can we improve or minimise our impact on the world?

  • Timeless trends. How to incorporate trends in a way that won't date your home or style

  • High and low – Integrate high-end investment pieces with mid to low-end cheaper pieces.

  • Old with New - Create an individual space by blending vintage pieces with contemporary and new.

  • Balance – A beautiful interior has mastered the art of balancing colour, proportion, scale, shape, and textures.

  • Feel – How do you want your home to feel? Calm, creative, uplifting? What words describe this?

  • Be confident in your style, own it. Dare to do things differently. Push your creative boundaries.

  • Live – How do you live in your home? What rituals are important to you? Do you work from home? Do you entertain a lot? Your home should support the way you live.

  • Evolve – Your taste, creativity, and confidence with continue to evolve and grow, and so will your style. Don’t be afraid to try new things and mix it up.
